Ways to Eat Oblaten


 1- 1oz container of Oikos Greek Banana Creme Yogurt 3 TBSP Lite Cool Whip 1/2 a small banana, sliced 2 Oblaten wafers, original or caramel!  1. Put half of the container of yogurt in the bottom of the desired dish. 2. Add 1 TBSP of Cool Whip on top of yogurt. 3. Add a layer of banana slices, then put the rest of the yogurt on top. 4. Top with remaining Cool Whip, banana slices and two of your favorite Oblaten wafers!

   Apple Crisp      Ingredients: 1 sweet apple, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, dash of nutmeg, 1/2 TBSP coconut oil, 3 oblaten wafers (original or cinnamon)      Directions:     1. Heat coconut oil in sauce pan over medium heat. Add in sliced apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg.     2. Put into bowl, stir in 3 crushed oblaten wafers.   Enjoy!

  Ingredients: 18 Original Oblaten wafers | 1 pound strawberries, sliced   Whipped Cream: 2 cups heavy cream | 1/2 cup powdered sugar | 1 teaspoon vanilla| **For a low-calorie option substitute whipped cream with Lite Cool Whip**  directions:With a mixer, beat the cream until stiff peaks form. Then add powdered sugar and vanilla.  Place a very thin layer of the whipped cream on the bottom of a square pan.  Add a layer of 6 oblaten wafers on top of the cream. Top with about 1/4 of the whipped cream, smooth it out and then add about 1/3 of the strawberries in an even layer. Repeat step 2 times.  Put last of whipped cream on top and arrange strawberry slices. You may do halves instead of slices.  Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

   Chocolate Oblaten Sandwich Cookies   Ingredients: Chocolate Oblaten Wafers 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 1/4 cup vegetable shortening 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract  Directions:1. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and shortening together on high speed until creamy and combined.  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix on low for 1 minute and then switch to high and mix for 1 more minute, until creamy. 3. Spread the filling between two Chocolate Oblaten Wafers. Makes about 16 sandwich cookies.

  Candy Cane Dip  Ingredients: 1 8 oz cream cheese, softened 1 cup powdered sugar 1 tsp peppermint extract 6 crushed candy canes  8 oz cool whip Your favorite Oblaten flavor for dipping!  Directions: 1. Using a mixer, mix the cream cheese until fluffy.  2. Then add the powdered sugar and peppermint extract. Mix until combined. 3. Slowly add the crushed candy canes and cool whip until incorporated.  4. Chill before serving.
