18 Original Oblaten wafers | 1 pound strawberries, sliced
Whipped Cream: 2 cups heavy cream | 1/2 cup powdered sugar | 1 teaspoon vanilla| **For a low-calorie option substitute whipped cream with Lite Cool Whip**
directions:With a mixer, beat the cream until stiff peaks form. Then add powdered sugar and vanilla.
Place a very thin layer of the whipped cream on the bottom of a square pan.
Add a layer of 6 oblaten wafers on top of the cream. Top with about 1/4 of the whipped cream, smooth it out and then add about 1/3 of the strawberries in an even layer. Repeat step 2 times.
Put last of whipped cream on top and arrange strawberry slices. You may do halves instead of slices.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
